Jim Saunders – Senior Pastor
Pastor Jim began his ministry at First Baptist Church in August of 2015. Jim and Kim Saunders are a happily married team of thirty one years, committed to loving and serving God together. Jim was born in Hammond, Indiana, into a pastor’s family where Christianity and ministry were core essentials. His growing up years were split evenly between the states of Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Following high school, he studied at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny Iowa, and later completed his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies at Northwest Baptist Seminary in Tacoma Washington. Jim loves spending time in Scripture, sharing His love for Christ with others, and enjoying the great outdoors. His hobbies include fishing, rooting for his favorite sports team, and enjoying a cup of coffee with Kim wherever God directs them. Pastor Jim served for five years as Associate Pastor at Faith Baptist Church, in Visalia, CA, focused on youth ministry and other children’s ministry. For the next seventeen years, Jim lead as Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Connell, WA in ministry renewal, development, and expansion. It was here that Jim was ordained in 2005.
Kim enrolled at Faith Baptist Bible College where she met Jim and graduated with a degree in piano performance. Kim has been involved in many areas of ministry in each church where she and Jim have served. She enjoys supporting others and helping them develop their ministry gifts and has served actively in children’s education, music and in
women’s ministries. Kim loves to read, dabble in crafts and has recently tried her hand at writing songs using Scripture. She enjoys inviting ladies in for coffee and especially spending time one-on-one. Jim and Kim have two daughters, Noel and Laurel, and a son Jonathan.

DEBBIE WHITE – OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Debbie White has served as the church office administrator since 2009. She and her husband, Craig has been members of First Baptist since 1991 and are very active in the church. They have two grown children.
CAL & BOBBI BIDDLE – Deacon
Cal and Bobbi have been married over forty-five years. Cal is a retired middle school principal. Bobbi is an author, a seamstress, and is artistic. They have two sons and two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. Cal currently serves as Sunday school superintendent and co- teaches the Adult Bible Fellowship Class while Bobbi works with our Ladies Mission Circle, the Living Nativity, and other ministries. They live in Petersburg where they are active in a number of organizations.
BOB & KRISTINE GEORGES – Deacon
Bob and Kristine Georges have been married for over twenty years and have six children. Bob works for Peabody Coal, farms, and serves as the deacon chair for the missions committee. Kristine is a stay at home mom who serves as a Sunday school teacher, is active with Kid’s Choir, and is a Praise Team member. They live on a small farm raising crops, cattle, dairy goats, and children.
STEVE & DEBBIE MESCHER – Deacon
KERRY & ANNE OVERTON – Deacon
Kerry, Anne, and their children Isabelle and Simon have been attending FBC since early 2011. The Overton family lives in rural Owensville where Kerry grew up. Kerry works in the Agricultural industry as a sales team lead. Kerry and Anne help lead one of our ABF classes on Sunday mornings. Kerry is the deacon lead of Local Evangelism and also enjoys being a part of church Easter and Christmas dramas and playing on the FBC softball team.

PAT & SUZZIE ODOM – Deacon
Pat is married to Suzzie and has two grown children, LeeAnn (Thomas) Munro and Ben Odom. The Odoms live in Fort Branch and Pat works in Owensville as postmaster for the US Postal Service. Pat’s serves as a deacon overseeing early discipleship; other ministries include youth leader, middle school SS teacher, and buddy for Special Needs ministry. Suzzie is also a youth leader, teaches middle school, Special Needs, and leads our Kids’ Corner.
Ben Odom – Deacon
Ben Odom is a food associate at Walmart and lives in Fort Branch. He helps out as Game Director for the Wednesday night Awana program, the Sunday morning children’s church, the praise team, and leads our sports ministries.
